Hooves pounded against the soft ground, dirt flying in the face of the mare. She whinnied and stopped in her tracks, light drops of rain hitting her body softly. She whinnied again, standing on her hind legs and kicking her front legs around. She landed on the ground with thud. She looked around, the rain now becoming harder. She wanted a mate, someone to care for her with there heart, but she was in the wrong lands for that. She sighed, let a snort fill the air. She tossed her head around and then lowered her head slowly, her ears up and alert. She pulled some grass out of the muddy ground and lifted her head once more and began to chew. She looked around once more before lowering her head once more and eating some more of the grass

She looked around, the rain falling harder. She hated being alone and wished that she could just find that perfect someone, or at least find a best friend that would stay with her through thick or thin. She sighed and walked over to a small puddle that had formed. She lapped up the water slowly and then lifted her head, stepping back slightly as she looked around. She looked down at her hooves print and snorted, then looked up and around where she was. It was a slightly creepy place when darkness had fallen, especially when your all alone and could easy be spied on or forced. She shook her head and and chuckled. this mare wasn't afraid of anything, and forcer could come right up behind her and she would just turn around and tell him off like he was some tiny little colt.

The mare whinnied softly and painfully before lying down in the mud. She knew her underbelly would end up brown when she got up, but she didn't care. The rain only fell harder as the thunder and lightning began to work there magic. She looked up at the sky as lightning filled it, then she looked down at her hooves. They hurt from all the running, but she was determined not to look weak. She stood up and shook her body clear of the rain. She looked at her sides and saw that the mud was draining off her body like a slippery glove as the rain pounded at her sides. She shook again, the mud flying everywhere. She whinnied sweetly to herself before looking around, the lightning shining up her white and black body. She sighed and looked down at the patch of grass she had been eating. It had mud all over it. She sighed and looked around once more, her ears slowly falling to her skull as she waited for someone to give her company
